“This is the night the “Original” Military Wives Choir sang for all those with Dementia and their carers”
Date November 23rd 2013
Place Babbacombe Theatre, Torquay, Devon UK
Time 7 pm till late
It was a freezing cold Novembers night and we had the venue, the Choir and all we needed now was the Audience. In one of my Favorited films someone once said
“If You Build It They Will Come”
We had, and we waited…………………………………………………………………………
And then they did, in their droves, both young and Elderly, arrived in cars, taxis, coaches and on foot. All told over 500 people made their way here through the cold just to watch the Military Wives choir and help support their very own local group “Torbay dementia Action Alliance ” as well as the newly appointed Global Purple Angel Ambassadors. Even one of the Military wives choir is a PA Ambassador , something we are all so proud of!!
The night was a roaring success and everybody had the most wonderful time. The choir were sublime and the Guest tenor Tyrone power ” sang his heart out! The raffle went very well and when we announced there were 15,000 FREE GPS systems available for ALL which will save lives, the cheers nearly raised the roof off!! When i followed that up with all the money raised last night would go towards paying for over 120 + peoples Monthly call centre charge for a FULL YEAR i thought the roof WAS REALLY going to come off !!
As i look back i always said that 2012 would be hard to beat, i won a pride of Britain award and had lunch at Downing street as well as the most important thing in Founding the Torbay dementia action Alliance!! But this year of 2013 has surpassed that easily !!
Plans for the future ??

Dear Norrms & Elaine,
It was a truly wonderful evening and I felt very proud and privileged to sing in the choir for this fabulous cause. You have started something exceptional and long may it continue.
Love Kirsty
