Morning all, well what a busy week !! yesterdays conference went really well, especially with yours truly asking a couple of Awkward (Not for me LOL) and challening questions, one being “Why has nobody been given a Dementia champion role who actually has Early stage dementia ?? Will keep you posted on that one !!
Today we travel to exeter for the opening of the new dementia advisors office`s and very much welcomed and needed. Tomorrow we meet the kids from the HRH Prince `s Trust and involve them in this saturdays mass Dementia Awareness Campaign in Torquay Town centre.

Hiya guys, just back from the opening of the brand new offices of the Dementia support workers in Exeter who will cover all of Devon. There are 21 in all, and these 21 wonderful people will make such a big difference to peoples lives who have dementia and their carers. Not only will they be support workers but also befrienders to so many people in Devon who need that help and support. It was such an honour to be part of the celebrations and asked to speak there today, good luck to one and all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hiya, just got this wonderful piece of news as we arrived back from a conference in Taunton (Which also went very well, will post soon ) as you can see, with a little help and not a great deal of effort another 2000+ people have now become “Dementia Aware” Its not that hard is it and certainly not much to ask !! What a great start to the week and i am sure this is something that can be replicated ALL OVER THE WORLD!! Best wishes, Norrms and familyDear Norms

Just to let you know your information regarding Dementia awareness has now been distributed and read by all my watch keepers (55) here in Torbay, also our National Chairman has agreed to send it out Nationally to 49 other Station Managers, from Cornwall to Yorkshire to Wales, who between them have somewhere in the region of 1950 w…atchkeepers, so hopefully another 2000+ people will be more aware of this ilness than before, well done to you all, if we can help further please do not hesitate to contact me.

Keep up the great work you do

Regards

Peter

Norms you’re so busy! What a great idea, someone with early stage dementia would make a great dementia champion! I wish you could be bottled and every area in the UK have a ‘Norms’ !
    Keep up the great work
